I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Montclair in New Jersey (USA). I plan on pursuing a PhD in developmental cognitive neuroscience, with a focus on poverty's effects on the brain.
I feel Universal Basic Income is the best way to address the growing inequality in Canada, as well as the rest of the world. It is important that we transition from the current monetary / income for labor model, into something more sustainable. The rise of machine labor will eventually give way to higher rates of unemployment and the need for a better social safety net.
